The lemonade served at retirement party is the hypotonic solution as it has more solutes than water (higher osmolarity).The colleagues adding water to make the hypertonic solution of lemonade to have less solutes into it (lower osmolarity). In reference to the diffusion, the water moves across from higher concentration of water (less solutes) to lower concentration of water (more solutes).Solvents are liquid that dissolve the solutes and dilute is the liquid which is used to dilute the other liquid.Here, Dilute is water and solvent is lemonade.
