Use words and diagrams to show how the ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm layers are formed in Xenopus laevis.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

These are the three layers of embryo which are involved in the formation of various parts of the body.

The term "derm" means skin or layers.

As the name gives the idea that "ecto" means upper or outer. So the ectoderm is the outer most layer of the three germ layers.

ecto - outer derm- layer

Mesoderm is the middle layer present between outer ectoderm and inner endodermal layer.

Meso - middle derm - layer.

Endoderm: inner most layer of the embryonic stage.

All of these layers have specific role in the organ and system formation in the organisms body.

These are the germ layers occurs in the embryonic stage and further they give rise to organs like heart, liver, gut etc.

Question 6 Use appropriate diagrams to explain graphically how an aggregate demand shock can lead to the economy entering a deflation trap. Does every permanent negative demand shock lead to a deflation trap? If not, show graphically an example of where a negative demand shock leads to a temporary deflation episode, but the economy does not fall into the trap (i.e. it goes to a medium run equilibrium). Draw the appropriate diagrams and briefly explain your reasoning. [Word limit =...
