By cell lineage tracing we can determine the fate map.

In this tequnique we use molecules which acts as a tracer and give us idea about particular protein and its corresponding activity.

Fluorescent peptide tracer is used to trace proteins and gene expression in various organisms.

Chemically caged fluorescent molecules are used like rhodamine dextran.

These molecules migrates from one cell to another cell with the help of gap junctions or other Cell to cell connections.

Other techniques like immunostaining, fluorophore and chemicals are used.
