1) While viewing the slide, do not rest hands on the stage.

2) Focus only with fine adjustment under high power.

3) We should never use the oil immersion objective without oil, and make sure to have a coverslip on your slide.

4) We should use the coarse adjustment knob to focus the specimen.

5) Whenever objective lens is changed, we should look sideways at the nosepiece to not cause the damage to the slide.
