Ans . The Physical anthropology , also known as biological anthropology is a scientific discipline concerned with the biological and behavioral aspects of human beings , their extinct hominin ancestors, and related non - human primates, particularly from an evolutionary perspective.

The subfields of Physical anthropology are :-

1) Forensic anthropology :- It is the application of the science of physical anthropology and human osteology in a legal setting, most often in criminal cases where the victims are in the advanced stage of decomposition.

2) Human behavioral ecology :- It is the study of behavioral adaptation (foraging , reproduction etc.) from the evolutionary and ecology perspectives . It focuses on human adaptive response to environmental stresses.
