Answer #1

In 1980s the Jamaican coral reef was subject to a great deal of human population disturbances. The balance of the coral reef ecosystem was disrupted extensively that it almost led to the extinction of a particular species of sea-urchins. The disturbances were caused by excess pollution and over harvesting of herbivorous fishes near the coral reef. Beacause of the dwindling number of fishes it has large population of algae in this area which has disrupted its former ecosystem. It has yet to attain its former state. These challenges show that we need to introduce some techniques which can bring the previous balance in ecosystem. We need to modify our practices and find out ways to curb pollution.
