The double helix DNA was discovered by watson and crick. in their theory they mentioned that dna double helix resembles a twisted ladder but the origin story of double helix started from experiment of Franklin she has been working on accurate Xray diffraction method, showing helical patterns of dna but due to her shy nature and inward young woman she did not suceed. then comes watson crick model they proposed dna molecule was madeup of two chais of nucleotidepaired in such a way that forms double stranded structure. for their work watson, crick and wilkins received nobel prize.
