Answer #1

The phylogeny provides the scientists with the relationship between the different organisms along with the evolutionary history shared by them. Tis information provides the scientists of the major daptations that have took place in the evolutionary years of different organisms. Moreover, the mapping of the charater states of the organisms represented in the phylogenetic tree by the process of character mapping helps to analyse the different characters existing between the ancestor and the descendants. It is used to explain the adaptations occuring with time.
