Answer #1

Ans.Zooplankton is the marine organism which do not make their own food by photosynthesis. These organism depend on phytoplankton for their food.Zooplankton, means animals consist of plankton and are heterotrophic organism which ranges from microspecies to large organism.Zooplankton(Zoh plankton) is found near the surface in aquatic environment.Because they have less swimming capacity. But along with phytoplankton ,thes are key components of marine ecosystem .These are the basis of food webs or food chains.Plants, algae & sea grass have chlorophyll and these are called autotrophs, because they have ability to make their own food by photisynthesis. All animals depend(directly or indirectly) on plants for their food needs so,they are called consumers & also called heterotrophs.
