Question

1. Chromosome condensation begin during the prophase stage of the cell division and keep on condensing at metaphase. The chromosomes start decondensing at the end of telophase. Hence option a is correct.

2. Interphase is not considered as a part of mitosis because in this phase the cell only prepare itself for the process of mitosis but not start the process of mitosis. The mitosis have 4 important phase which are prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. Hence, option e is correct.
