Different frequencies of genetic variant due to polymorphism of gene cause a population to have different characterstics that cause variations in the results and hence also affect the validity of research result. Different characters that are attributed due to genetic variants are different reaction to a particular response due to genetics differences, potential functionality of SNPs (single Nucleotides polymorphism) along the pathway used for a drug metabolism.
