The ground tissue of plant includes -
1) PARENCHYMA- thin primary walls. parenchyma forms the filler tissue in the soft parts of plants . it is usually present in cortex, pericycle ,pith and medullary raysin primary stem and root.
2) COLLENCHYMA- have thin primary walls with some secondary thickening . it provides extra mechanical and structural support in regions of new growth.
3) SCLERENCHYMA- Have thick lignified secondary walls and often die when mature.
it provides main structural support to plant.
