Answer- according to the theory of Darwin the natural selection cause the evolution by means of inheritence of the characters that were selected naturally for the benefit of the survival. Example is the difference in the colour and and complexion of different races of human population.

According to lamarck theory the acquired characters like some specific skill full change or the change in body shape or strength cause the evolution and the same characteristics are inherited in next generation. Example is the the long neck of the girraffe is due to the evolution that it used to eat the leaves at higher location and it help to acquire a long neck and was inherited.
