as Immune System is of two type Active Immunity and Passive Immunity

Active Immunity - when immune system is active and take participation in preventing individuals body from diseases by producing antibodies, antibodies are a type of protein called as Immunoglobulin.

When Immune system of a person weekens or do not function properly due to some genetical disorders, in such condition prepared antibodies are inserted into that persons body to help in prevanting from deseases. that we called Intravanous Immunoglobulin therapy (IVIg). it is a type of passive immunity because persons owns immune system do not produces immunoglobulin (antibody) but passively taken from donar.
