Answer #1

Ans. E.coli is Escherichia coli which is gram negative, bacillus , facultative anaerobic in respiration. It enters the body through uncooked food , raw vegetables. E.coli can be proved by differential or confirmatory test like EMB that is eosin methylene blue which is selective as well as differential in nature .It is selective for gram negative bacteria .It is selective because of methylene blue and eosin dye .And it is differential based on lactose fermentation .E.coli appears metallic green in color on this media . This test is used to differentiate between enteric lactose fermentator and non fermentor .

Your task is to pick a hypothesis to test about a population proportion (section 8.2) or a population mean (section 8.3). Once you have determined your hypothesis you must go and collect the data. Make sure your sample meets the requirements of a test presented in sections 8.2 and 8.3 (such as appropriate sample size). Use a 0.05 significance level. Please clearly state the null and alternative hypotheses in symbolic form and in words. State any relevant statistics from your...

Hello I have a question about organic chemistry 1 lab. When doing chemical tests the Br2 in CCl4. Shows a positive result for alkenes and alkynes? And negative test results mean a alkene and/or arene? I’m told in lab that we do not have potassium permanganate so we cannot use it. The second test that were told to preform if nothing else is shown on the IR is a halide test. I hope this makes sense. I’m just confused about...

For the following experiments/questions, pick the most appropriate statistical test. You have the following statistical tests as choices: some may be used more than once, others not at all.  Assume homogeneity of variance (where applicable) and the validity of parametric tests (where applicable), unless something is directly stated (e.g., “the data are not at all normal”) or otherwise indicated (viz., by the inspection of the data) which would indicate a strong and obvious violation of an assumption. This means you must...
