Sarcolemma is the outer covering of muscele fibers. Musclie fibers is the froup of muscle cells. in resting stage, the inside of sarcolemma maintains a negative charge and outside of membrane is positively charged and thus, it is polarized. When a stimulas is applied, sodium channel opens and entry of sodium inside the sarcolemma membrane occures which causes depolarization of sarcolemma and thus impulse transmission occurs. Hence, Depolarization of sarcolemma shows that the nerve impulse is transmitting from the nerve cell to the muscle cell. It indicates that a muscle is working properly.
