Answer #1

The flooding has the most impact on declining quality of water in the rivers. The floods cause river bends to be cut off. As the quality of the water decreases, the aquatic life of the river gets disturbed.

The fish and fisheries of the Okavango Delta depend on the annual inflow and rainfall cycles to create and sustain floods for their survival .The floods timely connect all the lagoons and swamps to the main river channel and facillitate migrations and swamping of the various fish species. The okavango delta is an important wildlife area protected by both the moremi game reserve on its eastern edge and the numerous wildlife consessions within Ngamiland.

The flood water detoriates the life and quality of the okavango river.
