Answer #1

The phase problem of the protein (Concanavalin A) was solved with help of Crystallography method. The method helps in step by step extraction of the protein using a protocol. The proteins are highly solvated and forms crystals and this leads to formation of the protein protein contacts through reduced relative lattice energies. The phase problem can be taken care of by the potential attachment site of approximately equivalent energy to the specific small number of site that are present in the crystal and leads to the process of precipitation. This helps in the overall extraction process and solves the phase problem.
