In continuous exponential growth, the value of dN/dt –

Group of answer choices:

increases due to the effect of increasing population size

predicts the population size at some time (t) into the future

remains constant over time

is a function of carrying capacity

increases because r increases over time

Homework Answers

Answer #1

the right answer is . " increases due to the effect of increasing population size" and "increases because r increases over time".

beacause in case of exponential growth curve the equation is

dN/dt = rN where dN/dt = change in population size; r = instrinsic rate of increase ,N = population size.

when in a population their is no competion ocuur , unlimited resources are their , no limitation of population size or space then the exponantial growth is occur . But genaraly this is not possible . so if the population size (N) and r ( intrincis growth rate) increase then dN/dt also increased.

DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS PROBLEM Consider a population model that is a generalization of the exponential model for population growth (dy/dt = ky). In the new model, the constant growth rate k is replaced by a growth rate r(1 - y/K). Note that the growth rate decreases linearly as the population increases. We then obtain the logistic growth model for population growth given by dy/dt = r(1-y/K)y. Here K is the max sustainable size of the population and is called the carrying...

Population Growth Equation In the population growth equation, the letter “r” is defined as the per capita rate of increase, which is the difference between the per capita birth rate (the number of offspring produced per unit of time by an average member of the population) and per capita death rate (average number of deaths in the population per unit time). What does the value of “r” indicate about a population? All of the following characteristics are typical of a...

Which of the following statements is incorrect regarding the constant growth model? Group of answer choices If the dividend growth rate is zero, the constant growth model becomes a zero-growth valuation model. The constant growth model can still be used if the required rate of return is less than the dividend growth rate. Another name for the dividend to be received in one year divided by the current stock price is the expected dividend yield. The constant growth model calculates...
