Answer #1

Artificial sweeteners are used as a substitute of sugars because it provides less calorie and high degree of sweetness and thus, beneficial for dibetic and overweight candiates. Example of artificial sweeteners are sacchrine, cyclamate, aspartame, sucralose etc. Artificial sweeteneers have clinical controversy that theses causes cancer, and many disorder related with nervous system like Multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, brain tumors, nervous disorders etc.

Science also proves these effects at higher concentratios as many research studies on rats and mice have shown greater risk of cancer and nervous disorder.

Being an FDA chairperson my recommendation will be: Artificial sweeteners can be used within a limited quantity. The upper limit of all the sweeteners should be defined and no one should use beyond the prescribed limit.
