ans- there are various example of instinctive behavior , the mating dance is considered one of them. the mating dance is an example of the fixed action pattern in which the opposite sex act as a sign stimulus and releaser. the process of the mating is carried out by performing a set of action which are already in a fixed pattern. the encounter of opposite sex lead to the innate releasing mechanism and act as a sign stimuli and releaser and the mating dance provide the action specific energy and all this scenario in the end lead to the mating.
