The differences between sea urchin and chick in terms of development are:

Sea Urchin Chick
Maturation of the Sea Urchin takes place early. The maturation process is much longer.
It forms a blastula following 24 hours of development; the blastula is a free swimming form and can fend for itself. The maturation time of chick is longer and it takes time of about 3 weeks prior to hatching.
