How is speciation affected if different areas have identical environments?
The formation of new and distinct species in the course of evolution is termed as speciation. If an identical environment exists is persistent in different areas the diversity in the genetic pool will cease because of lack of environmental conditions which regulate the epigenetic expression. Only a particular type of species will be populated in the ecosystem, in-case of sudden environment changes it will difficult for the species to cope up with the changing conditions. It might lead to lower the speciation event further.
