Similarities and Differences between diploid and haploid cells

The major difference between haploid and diploid cells are the number of chromosome sets where Haploid cells contain half the chromosome count of diploid cells. Diploid cells are produced via mitosis and haploid cells are produced through meosis. The major similarity between two is that both undergo mitosis part at a stage where both are produced from diploid cells only.

Diploid cells are produced via mitosis and haploid cells are produced through meosis.
