Answer #1

Oxygen and Carbon dioxide are able to pass through plasma membrane of a cell because both Oxygen and Carbon dioxide are lipid soluble. As the plasma membrane is made up of lipid bilayer membrane. They move into the cell by the process called simple diffusion. Simple diffusion is the process in which molecules move high concentration to lower concentration.

Oxygen move into the cell due to higher concentration as by breathing.

Carbon dioxide come out of cell due to higher concentration in cell due to it is the biproduct of many metabolic pathways.
