The three main inflammatory responses and their contribution to first line of defense against microbes are as follows:

1. Redness:Redness id due to excessive blood flow at the inflammed site. Excessive blood flow at the inflammed site provides sufficient immune cells to the site which help in fighting against microbes.

2. Warmness: Warmness at inflammed site is also due to excessive blood flow as the blood is little warm. The warmness provides heat which is itself an antibiotic.

3. Swelling: Swelling provides maximum space for excessive blood flow which ultimately lead to first line of difense.
