For making E.coli to glow and grow on ampicillin then transformation process will be followed . Steps are.

first of all E.coli cell must be made competent ( cell which are able to take up naked DNA or plasmid)

Then inserting of plasmid vector that must have two gene i.e green fluorescent protein and second is ampicillin resistance gene. So then the transformed E.coli will be selected by growing on ampicillin plate. Those E.coli colony seen on plate must be glowing.
