S. haematobium is diagnosed by using filtration method in which nylon or paper is used. Childrens with infection have microscopic blood in their urine which is tested by using the strips of chemical reagent.
Diagnosis of S. mansoni :
S. mansoni is diagnosed by the direct testing of Reto-Katz smear of sample of fecal or seagent strip of urine to detect CCA present in worms.
