WHich method of identification is more accurate, morphospecies or dna barcoding? and explain why

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans : The more accurate method of identification is dna barcoding.

The morphospecies identifies the organism based on only the physical appearance such as size , shape and color of the body . So basically the two species looking similar morphologically may be actually different.

DNA barcoding helps to identify the species based on their genetic makeup. So that the two different species will never have the same genetic makeup , and hence can be easily distinguished from one another.
