Minimal media contains the minimum necessities  that can only support the growth of the wild type organisms.

Prototrophs are the wild type organisms that are capable of synthesising all the required nutrients from the inorganic substances. Prototrophs donot have an additional nutrients requirement and can grow on minimal media.

Auxotrophs are the mutant organisms that have lost the abil to synthesise one of the nutrients required for its growth. Auxotrophs have an additional nutrients requirement and  cannot grow on minimal media.

Strain A can grow on the minimal media.
