Describe the two mechanisms in which B cells can become activated; Once activated, do they both lead to the same basic outcome?
Commonly B cells get Activated when its receptors detect the foreign particle attached to it. Whenever the Foreign particle is invaded the B-cells gets Divided by clonal selection : and performs two different functions 1) they detect and secrete antibodies againt the pathogen at the same time , this is short lived and effecive too. and this is called immune primary response. 2) They become as plasma cells or the memory cells which performs its action later and prepares itself for the second invansion. these are long lived defence mechanisms and they are called as Immunological response. These Bcells are somewhat dependent on T cells. these both the mechanisms aim at the same objective that is to defend the pathogen. though they are different.
