Describe antigen processing .How does the process differ from endogenous and exogenous antigens?
Exogenous antigen processing is ingested by endocytosis or phagocytosis and then enter into endocytic processing pathway. This antigen joined with lysosme due to acidic environment antigen is degraded into small peptides which are presented with class II MHC molecules of the Antigen presenting cell.
Endogenous antigen are produced within a cell itself eg. virus
infected cell. is degraded within the cytoplasm into
peptides which moves into endoplasmic reticulum, it bond to class I
MHC molecule. Then peptide class I MHC complex then move through
golgi complex to the cell surface.
