In the most scientific language, explain the evidence for the claim that Achaeans and eukaryotes are more closely related to one another than either is to the eubacteria.
The study of mechanisms of replication and transcription in Archaeans has revealed quite a strong resemblance with those found in Eukaryotes. It has been seen that archaeans make a number of DNA-binding proteins similar to histones (highly alkaline proteins) found in Eukaryotes. Bacteria on the other hand do not make such proteins. These findings led to the claims by scientists that Achaeans and Eukaryotes are more closely related to one another than either is to the Eubacteria.
