When or under what circumstances, if at all, should assisted migration of species to locations outside their current range be used as a tool in the conservation and management of species and ecological systems.

Due to climate change, the optimal range for a species to survive in a particular habitat changes. A species habituating in such changed or unfit environment must evolve to survive, however, with pace the environment is changing, the species are not able to keep up with the changing environment. Under such circumstances, a species may be migrated by assistance to avoid extinction of the species and maintain biodiverisity, eventually conserving ecosystem.

The disadvantage of this practise is that it might not be a real world approach. in addition moving a species to a new habitat does pose the risk of invasion by the species being migrated. Another disadvantage is the changed ecosystem dynamics which may make the communities unstable
