Briefly describe FOUR different ways in which antibodies that react to a specific virus can protect an individual from infection by that specific virus.
Antibodies are also called immunoglobulins are proteins produced by body to fight against antigens ie against foreign.
There is 5 types of antibodies having different functions.
IgG IgA IgM IgE and IgD, where Ig stands for immunoglobulins ie, antibody.
IgG is most common and it circulate in blood. Act by engulfing and destroy antigrn.
IgA in saliva tears etc and it nutralise virus bacteria etc
IgM acts like IgG but it is bigger so cant to cross membrane.
IgE act by suface binding in allergic reaction.
IgD present in B cell surface and help to find antigens.
