  • Another reaction where ATP is consumed is the conversion of Formyl Glycine ribotide into Formylglycinaidine ribotide (FGAM) (catalyzed by enzyme FGAM synthetase).  
  • The conversion of FGAM into 5-amino imidazole ribotide (AIR) (catalyzed by AIR Synthetase) also requires ATP.
