Bacterial growth means a bacterium is divided into two cells. Apical growth is similar in some manner here cell is also divided. But difference is that bacterial growth include the cell division by some protein involve in division. i.e MRE protein but in apical growth( shown in actinobacteria) the cell wall is synthesized which causes expansion of cell wall by DIViva protein (which help in cell wall synthesis) thereafter formation of new cell occurs. Ultimately both processes involve in cell division. So the similarity is cell divided in both bacterial growth and apical growth of microorganism.
