Neanderthal and Denisovan gene is seen in human population in these days too.

Neanderthal gene is seen among 1-4% in all non African population. This gives skin, hair more like modern human. The chin and forehead sloped backward and the protruded nose region are the characters Neanderthal gene provides.

Denisovan gene is seen in mainland Asians and native Americans. It is also seen in Tibetans and Sherpas. It is also called "super athlete gene" because it helps the Tibetans to breathe at higher altitudes.
