Answer:- Stem is positively phototrophic ascending part of plant developing from plumule of embryo . There is great diversity in stem along plant kingdom ranging from herbaceous, shrubby, woody, climber type etc. stem provides support to the plant.Some variations in stem is also found to perform special functions called stem modifications.

The dicot root involves following structures

1. Epiblema :- outer layer of root with root hairs help in water absorption.
2. Cortex:- Storage of food
3. Endodermis:- Inner layer of cortex
4. Pericycle:- outer layer of vascular cylinder point of secondary root generation
5. Vascular bundles:- water and mineral absorption consists of xylem and phloem
6. Pith:- inner part of root consists of parenchymatous cells.
