1) Because of relative age , insects got time for diversification.

2) Low extinction rates is the reason for so many insects in kind

3) They have flight or properties which results it forming different kind.

4) Complete metamorphosis.

5) Wing folding property also result of this.

There so many insects in quantity because :

1) Small size of insects results in survival of many habitats.

2) They have ability to store sperm for delayed fertilization also their general adaptive abilities to the environment.

3) Insects have fertility and reproductive abilities, which results in greater numbers of individuals in nature.
