What things do the innate and adaptive immune systems have in common

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Healthy individuals make an immune response to microbes with the help of some germline-encoded receptors which recognize some patterns in the surface of that pathogen which are quite distinct from self-antigens. Innate immunity is a first line defense which starts from birth whereas adaptive immunity which is a long-lasting protection usually take days to develop and require the development of antigen-specific T cell receptors.

They both have very few things in common. They both gives immunity to human beings against pathogens. Both are present in vertebrates.in both adaptive and innate responses, members of chemokine superfamily are very much involved.
