Organotaxis may be defined as Organo Means organ or related to organ and Taxis means movement. So Organotaxis is the movement of an organ as a result of direct response of that particular organism.

For example: Considering our digestive system, when food enters in to the stomach then walls of stomach gets stretched which transfers signals to Nervous system. when brain recieves that signals it sends motor signals to gastric perietal cells which results occurance of gastric acid secretion in the stomach.

Thus an organ(Stomach) starts functioning by direct response of human body due to presence of a stimuli (i.e. Food)
