Cellular respiration involves a set of catabolic reactions in which large molecules are broken into smaller ones in order to generate energy by ATP formation. It takes place in all the cells of almost all the organisms. It involves glycolysis which takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell and converts glucose to pyruvate, citric acid cycle which takes place in the mitochondria and the electron transport chain. In thr overall reaction of cellukar respiration, glucose is converted to carbon dioxide and water, in the presence of oxygen. A large amount of energy (ATP molecules) is released during this conversion. Thus, options (b) and (d) are both correct.
