1. Discuss the mechanisms in which microorganisms reassemble and synthesize Adenosine triphosphate molecules during metabolic processes.
For ATP synthesis microorganisms wil used several metabolic process like glycolysis by which glucose will convert into 2 molecule of pyruvate, 2ATP and 2NADH. Further if microorganisn is under aerobic condition, pyruvate will convert i to acetyl coA and NADH , and acetyl coA wi undergo further to citric acid cycle to form 3 NADH, 1 FADH2 and 1 ATP.Furter NADH and FADH2 will undergo Citric Aid Cycle to form ATP. This happen if microorganism grow on hglucose as carbon source.
If fatty acid or lipid will be carbon source then it will undergo beta oxidation and these will leads to formation of acetyl coA and NADH and FADH2 . Further acetyl coA will undergo Citric acid cycle to form NADH FADH2 and ATP . Further all NADH and FADH2 wil undergo electron transport chain to form ATP.
Hope it's clearclear..thanks
