Both the enzyme, whether it is trypsin and chymotrypsin, are proteolytic enzymes. Both the enzymes cut the proteins from c-terminal. These enzymes are also considered as proteinases which splits the large proteins and also helps in cleaving the internal peptide bonds of shorter peptides. But the trypsin digests the basic amino acid such as Arginine & Lysine while chymotrypsin digests the aromatic amino acid and along with this various ester and amide derivatives of aromatic amino acid are also digested by chymotrypsin. Chymotrypsin is also more active enzyme comparative to trypsin.
