In a short paragraph describe the relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
The process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration work completely opposite of each other. The photosynthesis is light-dependent process in which light energy is converted to chemical energy. The CO2 + water gets converted into glucose + O2 in presence of sunlight with use of ATP as well.
On the other hand, the process of cellular respiration is light-independent process in which the already present glucose in cells are broken down into its monomers CO2 + water with the evolution of ATP.
So, in short cellular respiration breaks down the sugar molecule into monomers which are utilised in photosynthesis for the synthesis of same sugar molecule back again.
Hope it helps
