Question 1- To penetrate the deep water level in photic zone, the light must have in high frequency and less wavelength. Therefore, Violet portion of the visible light has the most capacity to reach at the base of the photic region.

Question 2- The high latitude water has the most nutrient in surface. This is due to the lack of thermocline level here. In low latitude area temperature limits the nutrient level due to higher photosynthetic rate.
