Skin appears mixed red and waxy white in colour

Blanching with slow capillary refilling

Broken blisters and wet surface as the serous fluid ooze out can be seen.

The injured site is sensitive to deep pressure but insensitive to light, touch or soft pin prick

Marked edema appears.

Slow healing occurs approximately in 3-5 weeks

Excessive number of scars remains.
