Now design a poster that could be used in a hospital or community center to inform people about MRSA and the need to complete antibiotics as ordered.

  • MRSA causes skin infections .
  • It is resistant to many antibiotics and hence it cannot be treated.
  • They live as colonies in skin and nose without causing infection.
  • MRSA spreads through contaminated surfaces and open cut wounds.

Precaustions needed if MRSA is present

  • Wound should be properly closed with bandage to avoid leakage and spreading to others.
  • Donot share personal things like soap , towels etc. and disinfect them regularly.

Antibiotics usage  

  • MRSA infections goes on its own .
  • Antibiotics are not needed .
  • If antibiotics are prescribed use it for full course and stop them there on .
  • Donot over use antibiotics which may lead to increase in infection which becomes hard to treat.
