Answer #1

*Garcinia cambogia is a tropical fruit which looks like a small pumpkin. It is green to pale yellow in colour. It is also called the Malabar tamarind

*It claims to have significant effect on weight loss.It is said that it blocks your body's ability to make fat and it puts the brakes on your appetite.

*The active ingredient in the fruit, hydroxycitric acid blocks an enzyme called citrate lyase which is used to synthesise fat in the body.It also raise the levels of serotonin which makes you feel less hungry.

*However the actual weight loss results aren't much inpressive. Better studies are needed to find out if hydroxy citric acid really helps in weight loss.

*Also consumption of this fruit results in many side effects. There have been reports of serious liver problem in some people. It can worsen mania in bipolar disorder. It also has mild side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache
